  1. YouWhat does src/budget.ts do? Keep it short.
  2. Claudesrc/budget.ts holds the monthly budget model: • createBudget(limits) builds category limits from the settings file. • applyTransaction(budget, tx) subtracts spending and flags categories that go over. • summarize(budget) returns the totals the dashboard shows. It does no I/O itself; src/storage.ts loads and saves it.
  3. YouPlan CSV export for the transactions page, then ask Codex to review the plan before anyone writes code.
  4. ClaudeHere's a plan for CSV export on the transactions page: 1. Add src/export/csv.ts with toCsv(rows, columns): quote every field, double embedded quotes, and use \r\n line endings so Excel opens it cleanly. 2. Add an Export CSV button to TransactionsPage that exports the currently filtered rows. 3. Name the file transactions-YYYY-MM-DD.csv. export function toCsv(rows: Transaction[], columns: Column[]): string { const escape = (value: string) => `"${value.replaceAll('"', '""')}"`; const header = columns.map((c) => escape(c.label)).join(','); const lines = rows.map((row) => columns.map((c) => escape(c.format(row))).join(',')); return [header, ...lines].join('\r\n'); } I've asked Codex to check the edge cases before we build it.
  5. ClaudeAsked Codex: “Review this CSV export plan for edge cases: quoting, commas and newlines inside fields, non-ASCII payee names, and very large exports. Is anything missing before we build it?”
  6. CodexMostly solid. Three things before building: 1. Formula injection. Payee names that start with =, +, - or @ are evaluated by Excel. Prefix those fields with '. 2. Encoding. Excel on Windows assumes the system code page, so non-ASCII payees turn into mojibake. Write a UTF-8 BOM (\uFEFF) first. 3. Size. Export only the filtered rows. This implementation builds the CSV in memory; test its memory use with large exports before deciding whether it needs streaming. With those three, the plan is good to build.
  7. ClaudeCodex's three points are in the plan now. Ready to build when you are.
  8. YouBuild it.
  9. ClaudeAsks to run a command: npm test -- --run src/export. You: Allow once.
  10. ClaudeDone. Added src/export/csv.ts with escapeField and toCsv, wired an Export CSV button into TransactionsPage, and added two tests. The export includes only the filtered rows.
  11. ClaudeChanged 3 files in your project: src/export/csv.ts, src/pages/TransactionsPage.tsx, src/export/csv.test.ts.

How it works

Stop pasting answers between agents.

Crosstalk is a desktop app that puts the coding agents you already use into one project room: Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Kimi and DeepSeek. You talk to them in a single thread, they can ask each other for help and reviews, and you choose how much each one can do on its own.

  1. AskMessage one agent, or everyone in the room.
  2. Hand offAn agent asks another for help, and the answer comes back to it.
  3. ReviewAsk a second agent to review the plan before code changes.
  4. ApproveYou set each agent’s permission level and answer its requests.
  5. ChangeSee which files changed, then commit from the Git panel.

Agents

Bring the agents you already use.

Crosstalk works with agent CLIs that you install and sign in to yourself. It doesn’t include model access: conversations, handoffs and compatibility checks can use your own accounts and allowances.

Setup reports installation and sign-in checks for Claude Code and Codex. Gemini, Kimi and DeepSeek also need to pass their connection and CLI compatibility checks. Each build’s release notes list the platforms and agents that were tested; anything not listed hasn’t been tested yet.

Early access

Know before you install

Crosstalk is still being tested for its first stable release. These are the things that matter on day one.

Service noticesCrosstalk 0.1.0-beta.19

  • You bring the accounts

Crosstalk doesn’t include model access. Conversations, handoffs and compatibility checks can use your provider allowances. The token display can be incomplete, and turn limits count turns, not dollars.

  • “Agents decide” is the default

More than one agent can edit, and they can overwrite each other’s changes. Undo is off in this mode, so work in a Git project you can restore. “One writer” limits editing to one agent.

  • Expect first-run warnings

The Windows installer isn’t code-signed yet, and the Mac builds aren’t notarized yet. Your system may warn or block the app. Read the download page’s checks and instructions before proceeding.

  • Windows and macOS

Installers are available for Windows and for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. On macOS, Undo and parallel tasks aren’t available yet. There’s no Linux build yet.
